Gorgeous velvety purple blooms that are stunning on strong erect stems. Match with contrasting colours.  x6 corms to plant in pots, containers and borders. Height: 1.2m, Flowering time: July onwards, Preferred conditions: Full sun, or part shade.

For the summer garden gladioli are perfect for growing in pots on patios or balconies. Grow near seats, under windows or doorways for their wonderful sweet fragrance.

Origin/native: Mediterranean, Asia and Africa

Care Tips:
Plant late April, early May to June. As tender corms they are best grown in pots and placed where you can appreciate the scent. Can be grown as house flowers too. Not winter hardy so lift & store corms over winter. Place pots in greenhouses/indoors.
Feeding:
A balanced liquid fertiliser can be applied if soil conditions are less fertile.
