What you get in your 'ready to plant' collection:

Tubers and Bulbs.

Dahliasthe national flower of Mexico. They originated from the mountainous regions, in central America and Colombia. 

  • x1 Dahlia Lady Kate: Waterlily series, recently introduced, very graceful soft pinks, fading to white in the centre. Large flowers sit upright amongst green foliage. 70cm tall.
  • x1 Dahlia 'Bishop of Llandaff’ (AGM): A striking variety, with vermillion-red peony flowers and contrasting dark bronze-green foliage. 1m tall.
  • x4 Dahlia 'Single Flower Mix': Single, daisy-like blooms in a wonderful mixture of spectacular colours. 60cm tall.

Anemones - native to the Mediterranean. Poppy anemone or Spanish marigold. Gardeners can have year-round flowers by planting in April, June and September.

  • x6 Anemone coronaria 'De Caen': Mix of silky blue, white, pink or red single flowers up to 7cm wide. Compact, clump-forming habit with fern like foliage, strong sturdy stems. 35cm tall.
  • x6 Anemone coronaria (Saint Bridgid Group) ‘Admiral‘: Stunning pink, double cup shaped flowers, with dark centres. 35cm tall.

Bessera elegans - native to Central and Southern Mexico.

  • x6 Bessera elegans: Bessera elegans, or coral drops, is exquisite forming umbels of coral red / orange flowers from upright stems. 60cm tall.

Seeds

Wildflowers - native to the UK. Create your own super-bloom wild flower meadow to enjoy and provide food for our wonderful pollinators, even in containers, with these native flora seeds.

  • x1 packet Wildflower Butterflies & Bees (including grasses) - Bees and butterflies are attracted by plants rich in pollen and nectar. This colourful mix contains: foxgloves, common knapweed, cornflower, yarrow, field scabious, corn poppy, musk mallow, oxeye daisy, wild clary, corn marigold.
    Grass: browntop bent, strong creeping red fescue, crested dogstail, chewings fescue and sheeps fescue. 60cm+ tall.

Cosmos - native to the Americas. Cosmos bipinnatus are known as the garden cosmos or Mexican aster, a medium-sized flowering herbaceous plant.

  • x1 packet Cosmos 'Sensation Mixed': Large blooms in beautiful shades of pink and white float in a lovely, delicate ferny foliage. Perfect for mixed borders and cottage gardens. 90cm tall.

Preferred Conditions

Soil Type:
well-drained soil, generally semi gritty and moderately fertile
Where to Plant:
Plant in containers now to start growth, place in frost free areas, plant out in borders or final containers from late April after any last frosts.
Position:
Full sun/part sun/sheltered
Watering:
Water regularly and daily in hot conditions.
Care Tips:
You may need to stake plants to provide support for flowers, you can leave the tubers in the ground overwinter in Southern regions or you should lift in late Autumn and store in dry cool places overwinter.
Feeding:
A balanced liquid fertiliser can be applied if soil conditions are less fertile.
