The Big Lunch is a very simple idea from the Eden Project. The aim is to get as many people as possible across the whole of the UK to have lunch with their neighbours once a year in a simple act of community, friendship and fun.

Since starting in 2009, thousands of Big Lunches have taken place in all types of community across the UK. The 2012 Big Lunch fell on the same weekend as The Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations and The Big Jubilee Lunch was part of the main Diamond Jubilee programme of events announced by Buckingham Palace. Research shows that an astonishing eight and a half million people took part in events across the UK - which is amazing, well done big lunch!

Capital Growth is helping Londoners transform the capital by creating 2,012 new food growing spaces by the end of 2012. Several competitions are running to support the community growing space target and Seed Pantry is supporting them with prizes and discounts.

Eat Seasonably is a campaign which helps everybody enjoy fresh fruit and veg at its seasonal best.

At a time when many people put the same fruit and veg on their plates all year round, the campaign helps you reconnect with your food and the seasons in which it grows. It celebrates eating the right things at the right time: a crisp salad when it’s hot and sunny, a wholesome stew when it’s cold; strawberries in June, Brussels sprouts in December.

Changing Habbits is an action based programme that encourages a culture of pro-environmental behaviours amongst individuals and businesses.

This innovative project has develop an interactive visual technique and carbon footprint calculator called 'Habbit'. 'Habbits' are humanoid forms with body parts distorted relative to the environmental impact of common activities. Each body part is assigned to one environmental impact. Feet is travel; Hands – Home energy; Mouth – Water usage; Stomach – Food; Bum – Waste; Head – Electrical goods. Prioritised actions are set for individuals to reduce their footprint.
