What is Seed Pantry about?
Seed Pantry wants everyone to enjoy the rewards of nature, and if you are not already in the know, to learn about growing food to eat wherever you live.
Fresh seasonal herbs and vegetables grown with your own fair hands can provide a great sense of achievement. They are extremely friendly to the environment, great value and taste fantastic too.
We have carefully selected seed packages to provide great crops of fresh seasonal vegetables in whatever space you can spare.
Products and website features
The seed varieties and packages have been designed so that everyone can grow their own herbs and vegetables; in pots, on the windowsill, balcony, roof terraces or courtyard or in a garden veg patch.
Lovely friendly growing advice comes with the packs to get you started. And with each package purchased further encouraging tips and advice can be accessed on the website to help you along the way.
We have great starter kits and a range of environmentally-friendly biodegradable pots made from coconut and rice husks, which can all be tossed on a compost heap after use, leaving no more plastic pots littering your space.
There also is a fun forum to discuss experiences and any growing problems you may have. Our experts will help to answer queries along with other Seed Pantry fans, who all have great ideas for growing your own food.
Ethos and ethics
Seed Pantry provides quality products and a great service for our customers, with a minimal impact on the environment.
Our seed partner has been supplying high-quality seeds to commercial growers since 1888 and our pots have been chosen so that any environmental impact is minimal, with recycled or by product materials being used wherever possible, including the packaging. So please re-use or recycle the packaging.
We want nature to work for you in a sustainable way without creating unfriendly waste. We are a start up business and are always looking for ways to improve our products and services. We’ll keep you posted on developments as we go, and would also welcome any feedback on how to grow and maintain a sustainable business.
Who’s behind Seed Pantry?
Seed Pantry is a new business set up by myself, Neil, and is being run by a small team with skills that can build a customer driven business that provides a great sustainable service.
From being a novice grower I now have a passion for growing my own food and at Seed Pantry we enjoy getting our friends and families involved, who think growing their own food is great. We want to help others enjoy the mouth watering delights of home-grown veg, and also helping to keep our cities and planet a clean and green place to live.
